Wanderlei Luxemburgo, the former coach of Real Madrid and Brazil, is taking over Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro.
Luxemburgo and Atletico Mineiro president Alexandre Kalil confirmed the move on Tuesday on their Twitter feeds. Luxemburgo will get a two-year contract with other details expected to be announced at a news conference on Wednesday.
Luxemburgo began the season coaching Palmeiras, but left the club after poor results and finished the season with Santos. He coached Real Madrid in 2004-05, but had little success.
