After Barcelona’s thrashing of Celtic, Luis Suárez explained to the media how much he missed playing with Neymar and Lionel Messi.

After all the dust settled from Barcelona’s opening Champions League match, it was the 2015 treble winners that came out on top. Yesterday’s 7-0 victory over Celtic provided many highlights for the home side. Lionel Messi’s 6th Champions League hat trick gave him the most hat tricks in the history of the competition. There were also 4 world-class assists from Neymar and a brace from Luis Suárez. MSN was back in a big way at the Camp Nou and the fans certainly enjoyed watching them work their magic.

Luis Suárez spoke after the match about how much he missed playing with his fellow Barca attackers. “It’s ages since the three of us were able to play together from the off – we’ve missed that ability to enjoy ourselves,” Suarez said. “The summer break, the Olympics and then Neymar’s holidays got in the way. Today we really enjoyed being back in tandem.”

This quote from el pistolero shows how much chemistry the MSN trio has between each other. It was the same chemistry and form that propelled Barca to their 2nd treble in 2015. Messi, Suárez, and Neymar always care more about the team’s success rather than their own personal success. That’s why there really hasn’t been a front three that’s been more connected than the three that play for the blaugrana. The biggest example was shown last season when Messi passed a penalty kick to Suárez for a goal.

Hopefully, the MSN success can continue into the tough months of this UCL campaign, the La Liga season, and the Copa Del Rey competition. Barca had a great bounce back from their defeat at home against Alavés and MSN was mostly the reason why. Luis Suárez saying great things about his teammates gives him and them the confidence to do the great things they do on the pitch. It’s why they are one of the most feared and talented attacking trios ever assembled.
