Lovenkrands cited the depleted Magpies' last-gasp 2-2 draw at Chelsea as a sign that the togetherness that helped seal their swift return to the Premier League continues to be a potent force. "The boys did absolutely fantastic at Chelsea," Lovenkrands told the Journal. "We showed great resilience and team spirit to come back to get a point, and those are things that have been evident through the whole of the season. "We've shown we can go to some of the toughest grounds in the country and get a result and you don't do that unless you have a real togetherness and belief in the dressing room. "We have to make sure we take it into next year. We'll have a good break, and hopefully there'll be a couple of new faces to greet us when we come back. "But whoever comes into the club will have to buy into the spirit already here. They will learn pretty quickly we're a team and one of our biggest strengths is the way we stick together."
