Liverpool set for preseason tour to Asia
Liverpool will tour the Far East this summer, playing matches in China, Malaysia and South Korea as part of the team's preseason preparations.
The Reds will open with a match in Guangzhou, before further games in Kuala Lumpur and Seoul in their July tour.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said Thursday that ''the supporters over there are fanatical about Liverpool and it's great that we can give so many of them a chance to come and watch the team play.''
Standard Chartered, the club's shirt sponsors, said last week the company is hoping Liverpool signs Asian players to boost commercial opportunities in the region.
Liverpool enjoyed a successful 10-day preseason tour of Thailand and Singapore in 2009.
