The 26-year-old Swede has spent his entire senior career to date in Holland, helping Ajax to the Eredivisie title last season and having also had a prior spell with the Amsterdam club and a stint at FC Groningen. Salzburg coach Ricardo Moniz told his club's website: "We wanted a player in his position to help us. We are glad that it worked out. We have only three weeks until the start of the season and our quality has clearly been improved."
