Lindegaard signing expected for United
Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says Denmark goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard should sign for the Premier League club "in the next two or three weeks."
Ferguson says claims by Lindegaard's current club, Aalesund, that an agreement has already been reached between the two parties is not accurate.
But Ferguson says he still expects the 26-year-old Lindegaard to seal a move to Old Trafford.
The United manager said Tuesday "it is not completed at the moment but there has not been a hiccup either. It will probably happen in the next two or three weeks."
Lindegaard, who has won four caps for Denmark, could be the
long-term successor to Edwin van der Sar if the Dutch veteran
retires as expected at the end of the season.
