Lille maintained their foothold on third place in Ligue 1 with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Montpellier.

Marko Basa's first-half opener set the hosts on their way before Nolan Roux added his seventh of the season in the second half to give Les Dogues their second victory on the bounce.

A first defeat on the road for Montpellier since November meant Rolland Courbis' side missed out on the chance to move above Nice into 11th.

Henri Bedimo and Corentin Tolisso scored in injury-time as Lyon hit back from a goal down to claim a 2-1 victory at Bordeaux, who were denied the chance to claim their fourth consecutive home win.

Henri Saivet's opener looked like giving the hosts all three points but Bedimo had different ideas when he popped up two minutes into stoppage time before Tolisso broke Bordeaux hearts with a dramatic last-gasp winner.

Lorient put an end to a dismal run of six Ligue 1 games without in win with a dramatic 1-0 win over high-flying St Etienne.

Jeremie Aliadiere's 90th-minute penalty was enough to steal all three points form their fourth-placed opponents and hand Christian Gourcuff's men only their second win of the year.

St Etienne had been hoping to close the gap on third-placed Lille to one point with their first ever win at the Stade du Moustoir but defeat for Christophe Gaultier's team left a huge dent in their UEFA Champions League qualification aspirations.
