Newly appointed Inter Milan coach Leonardo understands if AC Milan fans consider him a traitor.
The Brazilian, who managed Milan last season and spent much of his playing career with the Rossoneri, was introduced by Inter on Wednesday, replacing the departed Rafa Benitez.
Leonardo says "I respect the views of others, so if they think I'm a traitor, I realize that it's a view born of emotions. And it's OK if my former players have trouble forming an opinion of me."
Leonardo says he'll "never forget" what he accomplished with Milan, but is now focused and enthusiastic about leading Inter.

Leonardo added that after accepting the job he put a call in to Jose Mourinho, who guided Inter to Serie A, Italian Cup and Champions League titles.
