LONDON (AP) Leicester kept up its strong start to the Premier League season by beating West Ham 2-1 on Saturday for its second straight win.

Japan striker Shinji Okazaki scored his first league goal for the club in the 27th minute and Riyad Mahrez doubled the visitors' lead in the 38th. It was Mahrez's third goal in two games.

Dimitri Payet pulled one back for West Ham, but the host couldn't replicate its performance from last weekend, when it beat Arsenal 2-0 away. Its hopes of a comeback ended when goalkeeper Adrian was sent off in injury time for a kick on Jamie Vardy after he went forward on a corner in search of an equalizer.

Leicester now tops the fledgling standings on goal difference ahead of Manchester United.
