Legear in confident mood

The Belgian club head into their final fixture at home to Split knowing that not only must they win, but that already-qualified Zenit St Petersburg must overcome AEK Athens in Greece. While not an ideal scenario, Legear believes Zenit's form in the competition so far proves they can claim the result the Belgians are hoping for. The Russian champions have won all five pool games while they were 3-1 winners over Anderlecht last time out, despite having already sewn up top place. "I think we can count on the Russians," Legear said. "If you saw them against us they worked very hard even though the knew they had won the group. "Zenit is too strong for this group and are very capable of winning every game." Legear, who is in doubt for the match due to a shoulder problem, has warned his side they must not lose sight of the fact they must first win their match with Hajduk. The Croatians picked up their only three points of the competition at home to Anderlecht in September, thanks to a 95th-minute winner from Stanko Poklepovic. "We are focused on ensuring that we win this game, because if we don't then everything else doesn't matter," Legear added. "We also have a heavy stomach from the reverse fixture when we lost so late." Legear is one of three players who will have a fitness test before the game with Lucas Biglia and Ziguy Badibanga also in doubt. Hajduk flew to Belgium without midfielder Anas Sharbini, the only player to miss out from the team that beat Sibenik 3-1 at the weekend to stay second in the Croatian league.
