Lavezzi signs new Napoli deal

Ezequiel Lavezzi has signed a contract extension with Napoli until
June 2015, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed.
The Argentina forward had been a reported target of Premier
League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool over the last six months.
"We started negotiating with Lavezzi back in November," said
De Laurentiis on the club's official website.
"There have not been any problems between the two sides as we
have always been open to negotiations.
"We have agreed a contract extension until 2015.
"Lavezzi has always expressed his wish to remain at Napoli as
he loves the city and has always felt like an Azzurro player in the
long term.
"We have reached an agreement that has given us mutual
satisfaction."
The 24-year-old joined Napoli two years ago from San Lorenzo
and his previous deal was due to end in 2012.
Lavezzi has struck three goals in 17 league appearances for
Napoli, who lie fourth in Serie A.
