Lanus to face Ponte Preta in final

Argentinian side Lanus will face Ponte Preta in the Copa Sudamericana final after booking their place with a 2-1 victory over Libertad of Paraguay on Thursday night.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto's team wrapped up a 4-2 aggregate victory after winning the first leg on the road last week.
They began the second leg brightly and Diego Gonzalez put them ahead with a shot from outside the area in the 12th minute.
An injury to striker Lautaro Acosta, forcing him off, interrupted their rhythm half an hour in and Libertad began to apply some pressure, eventually culminating in a 54th minute equaliser from Jorge Gonzalez's free-kick.
However, Lanus quickly regained the lead as Serge Aquinho fouled Jorge Pereyra-Diaz in the penalty are and Paolo Goltz converted from the spot.
They also added a third late on but Nicolas Pasquini's shot came back off the upright.
Lanus are also in contention domestically, and midfielder Leandro Somoza told Fox Sports they will need to dig deep in the coming week.s
"It is difficult because we are battling for two titles," he said. "We are the only Argentinian team alive in the international tournament.
"We'll keep fighting. Playing the Sudamericana final is very important for us. We have big chance to fight for this title."
The first leg of the finals will be played next Wednesday.
