Premier League new boys Blackpool made a move for the Northern Ireland international just before the close of the transfer window, but Rangers snubbed their overtures. Lafferty, who has often been in the headlines for the wrong reasons since moving to Ibrox from Burnley in 2008, is determined to stay at Rangers and establish himself in Walter Smith's plans. "I didn't know where I stood in the summer when the boss brought two strikers in. Thankfully he told me I was still in his plans," Lafferty told the Daily Record. "It would be very hard for me to leave a club that I support. I know I'll win trophies here and at such a young age, that's hard to beat "I didn't know about the Blackpool bid until the last day of the transfer window. "Rangers knocked it back and I didn't even want to speak to them. "I'm happy at Rangers and I want to carry on at Ibrox."
