Kobe striker Lee fired for drunk driving

Japanese club Vissel Kobe has terminated the contract of South Korean striker Lee Jae-min two days after he was arrested for drunk driving.

Vissel announced the termination of Lee's contract on its official website on Wednesday.

Lee was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle into a Kobe convenience store at 1:30 a.m. on Monday. He admitted to consuming alcohol at home before the accident, Kyodo news agency reported.

Lee joined Kobe during the middle of last season and has played in three matches this season.
