Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is hoping to see his side make more history after a record-breaking season in the Bundesliga.
The champions can win their first ever league and cup double by beating Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin on Saturday, and Klopp believes there has never been a better time to triumph in the capital.
"We have got to seize this opportunity," he said at a press conference on the eve of the game.
"We have an extraordinary team and we are really motivated, and after 103 years I think that, to be honest, our time has come (to win the double)."
Dortmund finished the Bundesliga with a record 81 points while their 28-game unbeaten run since October was also a new league milestone.
Furthermore, they have now beaten Bayern four times in a row and a fifth win on Saturday would set a new German record for consecutive victories over the Bavarians.
However, lifting the DFB-Pokal aloft is one of Klopp's greatest ambitions, regardless of the records or opponents.
"This is the most extraordinary game in German football," he said.
"We will play tomorrow as if we were in Wembley, or even Wimbledon, or whatever."
Bayern arguably have a greater game on the horizon with next weekend's Champions League final against Chelsea offering the ultimate title of the season, and their coach Jupp Heynckes admits that game will be in the back of his side's mind.
"Of course you cannot get the Champions League final out of the players' heads," he said.
"But we have two big goals and the players know how to handle themselves."
Bayern could end the season without a single piece of silverware, though, which is why getting one in the bank on Saturday would set them up well for next weekend's showpiece.
"Now is when the prizes are dished out and we have got to be there," said Bayern captain Philipp Lahm.
"We want titles. If you don't get a title, then it is not a good season."
For Heynckes, victory at the Olympiastadion would allow him to get his hands on a piece of silverware for the first time since winning the Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998.
Both teams have strong squads to choose from, with Bayern expecting defenders Daniel van Buyten and Breno to link up with the side in the capital on Saturday after testing their fitness levels in a reserve team fixture.
Patrick Owomoyela is the only player unavailable for Klopp.
