Kean: We can turn this around

The Scot has won just six of his 32 Premier League matches in charge and with just one victory this campaign his side are next to bottom of the table. Saturday's defeat at home to Chelsea saw protests against his continued tenure for a fourth successive match at Ewood Park but the Rovers boss insists things will improve. After the international break Blackburn travel to Wigan, the only team below them, with other away games at Stoke, Sunderland, and home fixtures against Swansea, West Brom and Bolton. Those are six matches Kean is targeting to turn things around as immediately after Christmas they have back-to-back trips to Liverpool and Manchester United. "This period is massive," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "You look to the first phase of 10 games and it has been tough; I feel as though we should have another six points. "Now we have got games against teams around us and if our levels are as high as they have been then I am convinced we will pick up points and by the time we get to halfway we will be much in a much, much better position."
