Juventus have suffered a blow in their bid for the treble after key midfielder Paul Pogba was ruled out for up to two months with a torn hamstring.
The France international sustained the problem during Wednesday's Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund, and after undergoing tests on Thursday the extent of the damage was revealed.
A Juventus statement said: "Paul Pogba this afternoon underwent an MRI scan after coming off midway through the first half of last night's Champions League match with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. The scan revealed a grade two myotendinous junction tear of his biceps femoris. He is expected to return to competitive action within the next 50 days."
If the 22-year-old Pogba is out for two months, then he might only be available for the last few games of the campaign. Juve's final Serie A fixture is scheduled for the weekend of May 30 and the Champions League final -- if the Italian giants get there -- is being played on June 6.
Juve are 14 points clear at the top of Serie A, in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League following their 5-1 aggregate win over Dortmund.
Pogba had already been left out of the France squad announced on Thursday for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Denmark later this month.
