Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has denied media reports that Real Madrid have made an approach to sign their coveted midfielder Paul Pogba.

French magazine France Football recently claimed Real Madrid assistant coach Zinedine Zidane had reportedly phoned Pogba to try to lure the 21-year-old to the Spanish giants this summer.

"We don't believe there was any such call with Zidane, nor any interest from Real Madrid," Marotta said to Sky Italia.

"Would I exchange Pogba with (Real Madrid's) Gareth Bale?

"They are two excellent players, but completely different.

"We are fortunate to have Pogba, who is young and growing consistently, and we are happy to have him."

Pogba has been linked with a summer switch to Paris St-Germain and is also a reported target of top Premier League clubs.

The France international moved to Juve on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012.

Pogba, who has scored seven goals in 33 league appearances for the Serie A leaders this season, is under contract with Juve until June 2016.
