Juventus beat Inter Milan in shootout to reach Coppa Italia final

Leonardo Bonucci converted the decisive spot-kick as Juventus beat Inter Milan 5-3 in a penalty shootout Wednesday to reach the Italian Cup final against AC Milan.
Inter led 3-0 after 90 minutes to draw the clubs level 3-3 on aggregate after Juventus won the opening leg 3-0 with two goals from Alvaro Morata plus one from Paulo Dybala.
Marcelo Brozovic scored twice for Inter and Ivan Perisic also found the target to draw the teams level.
After 30 minutes of extra time, the only error in the shootout came from Inter's Rodrigo Palacio, who hit the crossbar.
"We made things complicated for ourselves but we did well to take it to a shootout, which is a lottery," Bonucci said.
Milan reached the final by routing third-division Alessandria 6-0 on aggregate.
Andrea Barzagli, Simone Zaza, Morata and Paul Pogba also converted their penalties for Juve in the shootout.
Brozovic, Rey Manaj and Yuto Nagatomo converted Inter's penalties but Palacio missed Inter's second spot kick.
The teams had just met in Serie A on Sunday, when Juventus comfortably won 2-0.
On a rainy night at the San Siro stadium, Inter showed its intentions early against a Juve squad missing many of its usual starters.
Brozovic took advantage when Inter appeared to get away with a foul on Hernanes and scored with a shot just after the quarter-hour mark.
An attempt from Inter's Adem Ljajic hit the crossbar and Juventus failed to produce a shot for the entire first half for the first time this season.
Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia was taken to a local hospital to be checked for a head injury following a collision with Stephan Lichtsteiner during the first half.
Perisic made it 2-0 shortly into the second half, redirecting a cross from Eder by the far post.
Zaza hit the post for Juve's best chance of the second half. But Inter continued to push forward and Perisic earned a penalty that Brozovic converted eight minutes from time.
In extra time, Zaza saw an impressive effort deflected wide by Inter goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo and Pogba also wasted an opportunity.
