Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic has not suffered a recurrence of the calf injury which sidelined him for three weeks, according to the club's doctor.
The Montenegrin tore the soleus muscle in his calf after scoring in La Viola's 4-1 victory over Cagliari on November 4 and had to be replaced in the second half.
The 23-year-old missed Fiorentina's 3-1 win at AC Milan before earning a recall to the squad selected to face Atalanta on Sunday, only for his name to disappear from the teamsheet shortly before kick off.
But club doctor Paolo Manetti has reassured fans that the striker's omission was a precautionary move and is backing Jovetic to return against Torino on Sunday.
He told the Corriere dello Sport: "Jovetic has completely recovered from the injury to his soleus muscle.
"He actually suffered a muscular problem in his other leg in training on Saturday and we didn't want to risk him.
"For that reason, we will put him on a different training schedule for the first few days of this week."
Jovetic has contributed six goals to Fiorentina's surprise title bid, with the Tuscan giants sitting in third following Sunday's 4-1 triumph over Atalanta.
