Jewell hopes for Andrews stay

The Blackburn midfielder claimed earlier this week that Town had not given him any indication they were keen to keep his services beyond January, when his half-season loan expires. But Jewell, who had previously publicly stated he would do all in his power to try to lure Andrews to Suffolk ahead of rival interest in his services, met with the 31-year-old on Thursday morning and has again confirmed his interest in a permanent deal, although he accepts there are many issues to consider. "We want to keep Keith and he likes it here and we would definitely like him to stay with us," Jewell told the club's official website. "There are a lot of factors behind a deal, though. I think Keith would like to stay but there are so many aspects to consider - the Blackburn factor, the money factor, the length of contract and all these things make the deal more complicated. "I know there are a lot of teams interested in him because he's done well here but, as I said, we'd like to keep him but there are a lot of things to consider."
