Javi not thinking of England

Javi Marquez insists he is not thinking of leaving Espanyol, despite being linked with a move to the Premier League in January.

Nevertheless, the youngster says he is not thinking about leaving Catalonia.

"I'm not aware of interest from Premiership teams and I haven't got any English books - I'm only thinking about the game against Hercules on Sunday, which is very important for the group," he said.

Marquez came through the youth system at Espanyol and says he feels a big affiliation with the Catalan club.

"I'm a homegrown player and I have always liked being here," he said.

"What you have inside is a feeling and all I think about is playing well because thinking about other things would be stupid and it's not worth it."
