Jackett: We lacked creativity

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett bemoaned his side's lack of a creative spark after seeing them held to a 0-0 draw at The Den by local rivals Charlton.

The point saw the Lions' unbeaten run extended to 14 matches as they moved into fifth place in the Championship, keeping a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the process.

But Jackett felt something was missing from their performance, despite former Charlton midfielder Dany N'Guessan having his late goal-bound header stopped on the line as the home side controlled the second half.

"I thought it was a dominant performance, barring the finishing. In the second half, I don't think Charlton got out of their half," he said.

"I can't remember them having a shot, but it didn't quite drop for us in the box. Perhaps we needed a spark of creativity.

"I'm pleased with the players. A lot of our game was right and it gives me as a manager, good encouragement for the future."
