Cesare Prandelli will begin his reign as Italy coach with a friendly in London on Aug. 10.

The Italian Football Association (FIGC) says the match will take place at Fulham's Craven Cottage, although the opposition is yet to be confirmed.

A spokesman for the FIGC said Tuesday that it is in talks with Egypt, Ivory Coast and Uruguay, and expects to announce the opponent by the end of the week.

Prandelli will replace Marcello Lippi, who coached Italy to World Cup success in 2006 but is leaving under a cloud after his second spell in charge following the team's failure to progress to the knockout stages in South Africa this summer.
