Italy coach: 'no fear' of fan violence in Serbia

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says his squad ''has no fear'' about facing Serbia in Belgrade on Friday, after a match between the teams last year was marred by fan violence.

UEFA awarded Italy a 3-0 win in Genoa a year ago after the match was stopped in the seventh minute with the score 0-0 because of riots by Serbia supporters.

Italy has since qualified for the European Championship, but Serbia is still attempting to secure a spot at next year's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

Prandelli says, ''There will be no problems of any kind with the fans. ... Serbia needs a victory. ... We're not going to speculate on the result, but I'm expecting a great performance.''
