Daniele De Rossi scored two goals Wednesday to give Italy a 2-0 win over Georgia in a World Cup qualifying match and the lead in its group after two games.
De Rossi scored from 25 meters (yards) in the 17th minute at Friuli stadium, sending his shot into the upper corner of the net and out of the reach of Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Loria. The AS Roma midfielder scored again in the 88th on a low shot from inside the box.
