We've found it. This has to be the worst miss of all time. Ever. In history.
Who? Some poor sap in Serbia who will never ever be able to live this down. Ever.
Where? Serbia's fourth division.
Why? Clearly, this man is being punished for some sin of the past. The fates have conspired to ruin his life and ensure he never sees happiness again.
How? WE DON'T KNOW. IF WE KNEW WE WOULD TELL YOU.
The attacker was one foot away from the goal line. Announcers say it all the time, but this one was literally (the original Webster's definition of literally, not the new version that includes figuratively, we don't recognize that version) LITERALLY harder to miss than it was to score.
Just look at his teammate's face at the end. That's the textbook definition of incredulity. He's so stunned he simply cannot process what he's just seen. Honestly, someone should check on that man, he may still be in shock right now.
Where do you go from here as a player? Do you pull a Lord of the Rings and diminish, and go into the West and never touch a ball again? Do you retire and become a referee? How do you step back out onto the pitch after that? These are questions that need to be answered.
