Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri has fueled speculation of a move for Chelsea midfielder Jon Obi Mikel or Wolfsburg star Luiz Gustavo, and has confirmed that he expects to stay at San Siro.

Italian Mazzarri led Inter to fifth place in Serie A this season, ensuring that European football will return to the Nerazzurri after a disappointing 2012/13 season, in which they finished ninth.

As a result, the 52-year-old already appears to have set out his targets for a summer of spending at the San Siro, with extra numbers needed for the added games that the Europa League will bring next season.

Speaking at a press conference, Mazzarri confirmed his interest in Mikel, who could find himself surplus to requirements at Jose Mourinho's new-look Stamford Bridge outfit, as well as Wolfsburg anchorman Luiz Gustavo.

"What Inter need on the market? It takes a player with the features of Luiz Gustavo, a player like a few ones in the world," Mazzarri said.

"I fear that he is unattainable for us.

"Obi Mikel? I don't want to name too many names. I said Luis Gustavo as an example."

Mazzarri also moved to confirm his intentions to remain as head coach at Inter Milan, with another year remaining on his current contract.

"I remain of course, I have a contract with Inter until 2015," he added.

"In the coming weeks we will also talk with the club about an extension."

When asked about the future of Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin, who signed a new deal earlier this year after nearly joining rivals Juventus, Mazzarri was less forthcoming.

"Guarin leaving? I don't know," he said. "During the last months he has not played much, we'll do some evaluations".
