Inter Milan coach Leonardo showered his players with praise after they came from behind to beat Catania on Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 1-0 with 19 minutes remaining, Esteban Cambiasso's two goals fired Inter to a 2-1 success in Sicily.

Leonardo said: "There has been a great display of character and determination from all of my players. This is a fantastic comeback."

The result allowed Inter to close the gap on Serie A leaders AC Milan to 11 points after their city rivals were held to a 4-4 draw by Udinese on Sunday.

"The race is a long one and we are in it. We will continue on this path.

"There is the right spirit in the team. "My players know how to battle and sacrifice themselves to get the win."
