Swansea defender Kyle Bartley has been ruled out for three months with a thigh injury.
The summer recruit from Arsenal suffered his setback in training last month, the club confirmed on Tuesday, and after tests it has emerged he faces a long lay-off.
Bartley, 21, made his Swansea debut in the 3-1 Capital One Cup win over Barnsley on August 28 and has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the club.
A Swansea spokesman says that Bartley has a ruptured quad muscle.
