Defender Joleon Lescott has been added to the squad for England's World Cup qualifying double-header after Michael Dawson was forced to pull out through injury.
Dawson's Tottenham teammate Aaron Lennon has also withdrawn from the squad, but the winger has not been replaced.
England plays San Marino on Friday before a crucial encounter four days later with Montenegro, which has a two-point lead over Roy Hodgson's side in their qualifying group.
Lennon missed Tottenham's 1-0 loss to Fulham on Sunday with hamstring and groin problems, while Dawson had to come off at halftime with a hamstring injury.
