AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato will likely miss Brazil's friendly against Scotland on Sunday after injuring his ankle in an Italian league match.

Villarreal striker Nilmar is also doubtful to play because of a muscle injury, but both are scheduled to report to the national team on Thursday in London as scheduled.

Because of the injuries, coach Mano Menezes has added Internacional forward Leandro Damiao to the squad. The 21-year-old striker, who has already scored 13 goals this year, is yet to play for the national team.

Brazil is preparing for the Copa America in July, but Menezes said he is also using the friendly against Scotland at Emirates Stadium to look at his options for the 2012 London Olympics.

''I'm taking advantage of the circumstances to summon a player who has been playing well with Internacional and is young enough to play in the Olympics,'' Menezes said on the Brazilian federation's website.

Pato sprained his left ankle in AC Milan's 1-0 loss to Palermo on Saturday. Tests showed he will need about 10 days to recover.
