Injured Milito misses Inter-Bayern clash
Diego Milito will miss Inter Milan's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich after suffering a hamstring strain.
The Argentine striker suffered the injury towards the end of Inter's Serie A game with AS Roma on Sunday.
A statement from the club said Milito ''suffered a second-degree hamstring strain,'' and Gazzetta dello Sport said Tuesday he will be sidelined for about a month and a half.
The first leg of the last-16 meeting between Inter and Bayern is on Feb. 23 in Milan.
Milito scored twice to help Inter win last season's Champions League final against Bayern.
''Diego mustn't worry about what has happened,'' Inter coach Leonardo said. ''He knows how important he is for Inter. All he has to do is relax and concentrate on making a good recovery.''
