Andres Iniesta's father, Jose Antonio, does not doubt that his son will be signing a new contract with Barcelona.
Iniesta's current deal expires in 2015, but talks are ongoing over a new deal for the influential 29-year-old midfielder.
Reports in England and Spain claim both Manchester United and Manchester City are monitoring the situation - although the player's father has added to the opinion, held by Barcelona's hierarchy, that Iniesta will sign a fresh deal at the club.
Speaking on the radio programme La Xarxa, Jose Antonio said: "Anyone who knows Andres, who has spent 18 years at Barcelona, shouldn't doubt his words.
