Independiente, Goias reach semifinals

Independiente of Argentina and Brazil club Goias have reached the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana.
Independiente played a scoreless draw on Thursday against Colombia's Atletico Tolima.
The first leg was drawn 2-2 in Colombia, so Independiente advanced on the away-goals rule.
Rafael Moura's goal in the 44th minute lifted Goias to a 1-0 victory over fellow Brazilian club Avai. Goias advanced 3-2 on aggregate following a 2-2 draw in the first-leg quarterfinal.

On Wednesday Palmeiras and defending champion Liga de Quito each reached the semifinals. Goias will face Palmeiras and Independiente plays Liga de Quito.
