The Red Devils are reportedly keen on the Holland international and have been linked with a January bid for the 28-year-old, who has scored 10 Bundesliga goals this term. However, Schalke's general manager Horst Heldt has played down the reports, stating the ex-Real Madrid striker is a regular and under contract at the club until 2013. Huntelaar is understood to have a £17.1million release clause in his deal, although Schalke have no desire to cash in on the talented forward anytime soon. "Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is under contract at Schalke and he is a first-team regular at our club," Heldt told BILD. "We have no ambition to transfer him. He is showing top standard performances this season and it is pretty much usual those performances are getting noticed by top-quality clubs. "At this moment we have not received any offer for the services of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from any club."
