Holden impresses on Bolton return

United States midfielder Stuart Holden was impressive in his return for Bolton after six months out with a knee injury, lasting the whole match in a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa in the third round of the League Cup on Tuesday.
''Considering Stuart has been out for so long after an horrendous injury, for him to play with such intensity and at the level he did tonight was great,'' Bolton manager Owen Coyle said.
Holden has been sidelined since March after being hurt in a challenge by Manchester United defender Jonny Evans in a Premier League match.
''I've always said we are a better team with him in it, not just because of his workrate but also the quality he brings when on the ball,'' Coyle said.
Chris Eagles and Gael Kakuta scored Bolton's goals at Villa Park.
