Hoffenheim and Kaiserslautern shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.

Hoffenheim escaped with a somewhat fortunate point which and although Kaiserslautern extended their unbeaten run to five games, it could and probably should have been a more rewarding game for the visitors.

Vedad Ibisevic put the hosts in front after 33 minutes, but Dorge Kouemaha levelled in the 73rd minute.

The visitors had the first chance of the game in the 12th minute, but Olcay Sahan wasted it with a poor shot.

Kouemaha headed a corner over the crossbar two minutes later as the Red Devils made it clear that they meant business.

However, it was the home side who went in front in the 33rd minute when Edson Braafheid's cross was met by Ibisevic, who placed the ball into the back of the net from close range.

Ibisevic could have made it two in the 62nd minute, but the Bosnian's last touch was too strong as he gave Kaiserslautern goalkeeper Kevin Trapp the ball in a one-on-one situation.

The visitors continued to do all of the attacking, though, and they finally made the breakthrough in the 73rd minute.

Richard Sukuta-Pasu chested down Christian Tiffert's cross and Kouemaha drilled it in unstoppably from almost 25 yards.
