Hart, Sturridge out of England friendly vs. Italy

England's Football Association says goalkeeper Joe Hart and striker Daniel Sturridge will miss Wednesday's friendly against Italy with injuries.
Manchester City's Hart has a back problem, which ruled him out of Sunday's Community Shield win over Chelsea, and Sturridge has a toe injury. Sturridge came on as a substitute in the match at Villa Park.
Neither will be replaced in Roy Hodgson's squad ahead of the match in Berne, Switzerland.
Hart's absence means that either Jack Butland or John Ruddy will make a national team debut in goal. Butland was Great Britain's keeper at the London Olympics.
England's game against Italy is a rerun of their match in the quarterfinals of the European Championship in June, which Italy won after a penalty shootout.
