Hart admits Given surprise

Given has found himself playing second fiddle to Hart this season after Roberto Mancini decided to make the England international his first-choice keeper. Hart has enjoyed a fantastic season for City breaking Nicky Weaver's record of 26 clean sheets in a season with 28 to date before the final game of the campaign. Hart admits the competition from Given and Stuart Taylor keeps him on his toes. "With the two goalkeepers at our place - Stuart Taylor who is a great goalkeeper and obviously Shay Given, who I still can't believe that I manage to get a game ahead of at the moment - it keeps me on my toes and I realise I have to play well week-in, week-out," Hart told Sky Sports News. Hart admits he is not sure if his form this season has been the best of his career as he feels his defenders in front of him deserve a lot of the credit for City's success this term. "It's hard to say if I am in the form of my life," added Hart. "Between it all I wasn't happy with one of my performances recently so I wouldn't say I am in the form of my life, but I am getting some consistency and we are defending well as a team." Hart is hoping City can end the season on a high by beating Bolton on Sunday to ensure a third place finish in the Premier League. "We've had a tough season and we've had a lot building up to the end of the season, that's when we were required to really bring that home and at the moment we are doing that and hopefully we can continue that on Sunday," concluded Hart.
