Kane scored again with a deflected shot in the 13th.

Leicester pulled a goal back seven minutes before halftime when Jamie Vardy converted David Nugent's cross.

Leicester captain Wes Morgan headed in a corner in the 50th to equalize for Leicester.

Kane then beat Kasper Schmeichel for his hat trick, converting from the penalty spot in the 64th after Nugent fouled Danny Rose.

Jeffrey Schlupp's own goal in the 85th secured Tottenham's win, despite Nugent scoring in the last minute for Leicester.

Southampton 2 Burnley 0

Southampton continued its push to qualify for European football with a 2-0 victory over Burnley at St. Mary's.

Ronald Koeman's side had a troubled start to the game as goalkeeper Fraser Forster had to be substituted with an injury after 14 minutes when he slipped while hitting a clearance.

But the home side went ahead in the 37th through Shane Long, who converted a shot across goal from defender Nathaniel Clyne which appeared to be heading comfortably wide of goal.

Southampton's lead was doubled in the 58th when Burnley defender Jason Shackell stuck out his leg to try to block a low cross from Ryan Bertrand but instead diverted it into his own net.

Stoke 1 Crystal Palace 2

Crystal Palace scored two late first-half goals to beat Stoke 2-1.

Mame Biram Diouf put the hosts ahead in the 14th with a shot to the bottom right corner before Glenn Murray equalized from the penalty spot in the 41st after a foul by Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

Wilfried Zaha scored the winning goal in first-half injury time.

Palace moved up a place to 11th with 36 points, six points behind Stoke. Both teams have played 30 games.

Aston Villa 0 Swansea 1

Swansea struck a blow to Aston Villa's Premier League survival hopes as Bafetimbi Gomis' late goal handed them a 1-0 win at Villa Park.

Gomis latched onto Jefferson Montero's cross with three minutes remaining after the Frenchman had missed a host of chances for the visitors.

The result leaves Villa three points above the relegation zone with eight games remaining.
