Hannover has signed midfielder Daniel Royer from SV Ried in Austria.
The German club said in a statement Wednesday that the 21-year-old Royer has been given a contract until June 2015. He will wear the No. 16 jersey.
Hannover sporting director Joerg Schmadtke says Royer is ''two-footed and can easily play on both wings due to his pace.''
Schmadtke adds that Royer is ''one of Austria's biggest talents.''
