Hamburger SV says defender Michael Mancienne will miss two Bundesliga games because of a torn right thigh muscle.
Hamburg is off to its worst Bundesliga start and fired coach Michael Oenning on Monday. The club is last in the Bundesliga with one point from six league games, conceding 17 goals.
Mancienne will miss Friday's game in Stuttgart and the home game against Schalke on Oct. 2.
