Hamburg's midfielder Petr Jiracek could be out until the end of the year because of a pelvic bone inflammation.
The Bundesliga club says Jiracek will need four weeks of complete rest.
The Czech Republic midfielder signed for Hamburg at the start of the season after playing for Wolfsburg.
