Hamburger SV says it has signed Croatia midfielder Ivo Ilicevic from Bundesliga rival Kaiserslautern.

Hamburg said on its website on Wednesday that 24-year-old Ilicevic signed a four-year deal.

The club also confirmed the departure of Dutch winger Eljero Elia to Serie A's Juventus.

Ilicevic scored five goals and set up seven more in 21 games for Kaiserslautern last season.

Ilicevic is suspended for Hamburg's next four league games for a bad foul on Anatoliy Tymoshchuk in Kaiserslautern's 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich last weekend.

Hamburg is bottom of the Bundesliga with one point from four games.
