The versatile right-sided player is on loan at Fratton Park from Wolves and has been in strong form for Pompey, scoring twice in eight games since joining in October. Pompey boss Steve Cotterill is keen to hang on to Halford beyond January, but the 25-year-old is still unsure where his future lies. "I've been asked this a lot and obviously I chose to extend my stay here after the original first month came to an end," Halford told skysports.com. "However, at the minute I'm not really concentrating on anything other than the next game. "December is a busy and important period for us and I just want to focus on doing my best for this club during that period. "When the deal comes to the time when it expires then I will need to make a decision, but at the moment I am happy to leave that until closer to the time. "Obviously, my first-team chances at Wolves play a big part in whether I stay here because there is no point in me going back there if I'm not going to be playing. "There are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes though and they have just sold one of the lads to leave in January, so that may play a part, but there are so many factors involved in the final decision. "When it comes to making that decision then I will weigh up all the pros and cons and choose what to do there and then."
