Gullit joins Terek Grozny

Ruud Gullit has joined Russian club Terek Grozny on an 18-month contract.
The small-time club, based in the former wartorn province of Chechnya, made the announcement on its website Tuesday.
Gullit, 48, joins the club three years after being fired from the Los Angeles Galaxy. He has since appeared as a pundit on television.
Gullit has previously managed Chelsea, Newcastle and Feyenoord.

Terek finished 12th this season in the Russian Premier League, with a modest total of 33 points from 30 games. The website says club president Ramzan Kadyrov Kadyrov has set Gullit the target of a top-eight finish this season.
