BERLIN (AP) Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has dropped Mario Mandzukic for the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund, and Bastian Schweinsteiger is also out of Saturday's game.
Guardiola says ''Basti is injured, a problem with his knee. Mandzukic is my decision.''
Schweinsteiger, who is aiming for a record seventh German Cup win, strained a tendon in his left knee in last Saturday's 1-0 Bundesliga win over Stuttgart.
Guardiola says he hopes he'll recover in time for Germany at the World Cup.
Mandzukic isn't injured. Guardiola says it was a coaching decision to leave the Croat out.
Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp says Robert Lewandowski is likely to play after shaking off a calf problem. The Polish striker, who will join Bayern for next season, broke off Thursday's training session as a precaution.
