Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff and Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa have been cut from France's squad for the European Championship.

Manager Laurent Blanc announced on Tuesday his 23-man roster which includes strikers Karim Benzema of Real Madrid and Franck Ribery of Bayern Munich. France's first match in Group D is on June 11 against England.

Gourcuff has had a poor season and Yanga-Mbiwa is untried at international level.
