FIFA says broadcaster Globo has bought Brazilian media rights for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.

FIFA did not declare the value of the two-tournament deal, which includes all media platforms. Globo has held rights to broadcast each World Cup since 1970.

FIFA is marketing the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, being played in Russia and Qatar, in a package. It struck United States deals worth a combined $1.2 billion with Fox, Telemundo and Futbol de Primera Radio.

Rights for the Middle East and parts of Asia and Latin America were sold for $1.7 billion last year.
